According to the report, only a small portion of each platform’s user base is unique, with over 95% of Facebook users between the ages of 16 and 64 using at least one other social platform.

Interestingly, social media platforms have taken over the search engine, especially among younger audiences. More than half of Internet users between the ages of 16 and 24 use social media when searching for products and services. This is compared to 46% who said they were using a search engine.

People spend about 4 hours a day on average. Followed by Nigeria and Brazil, people spend about 3 hours and 40 minutes a day on social media. By comparison, Indians spend 2 hours and 36 minutes on social media. At the same time, Japanese people use social media for only 46 minutes.

There is no doubt that social media has completely transformed how we communicate with the rest of the world, from the way information reaches us to the way we communicate with our family and friends.

Plus, it’s easy to stay in touch with those who’ve liked the page or commented on a post.

Twitter

Twitter is the perfect social media for those who want to always touch with their audience and have hot content to share. Thanks to the right hashtags, expanding the number of followers and those reached by the content is possible.

Remember, Twitter needs to be used several times a day; a profile on this platform is, therefore, suitable for those who have a lot to say and can do it concisely.

Instagram

Instagram is the most used social platform after Facebook. Who is it suitable for? Who can share beautiful photos: aesthetics is their keyword. If you’re into food, Instagram has to become your best friend. Everyone here is talking about it! The average time spent on Instagram per day is 53 minutes.

The number of users who use social networks on the planet is increasing. It is one of the most time-consuming activities in the virtual world. There are currently approximately 3.2 billion users of social networks. A figure that is increasing and that now represents 40% of the world’s total population.

One of the main reasons for this enormous growth is the constant advances in mobile technology, or that it considerably facilitates access to social networks. Most of them are available as mobile applications or optimized to allow navigation through this type of device.

The largest video-sharing platform has a global audience of more than 2 billion monthly active users. However, YouTube is far from Facebook in terms of daily active users.

Twitter

Snapchat

Snapchat users use the app more than 30 times a day, the average time spent on Snapchat per day is 28 minutes.

The multimedia messaging application has more than 238 daily active users and is one of the most popular social networking sites among the younger generation.
