What is a tick?

Whenever we talk about mites, we refer to mites that parasitize the body of warm-blooded vertebrates. Their main purpose is to find a constant food source in which they can survive. You can distinguish between two large families of mites, hard ticks, and soft ticks. The former has a shell and is characterized by being found in almost every country globally, while the latter lacks such a shield and usually looks for areas of the ear that settle in the animal’s ear. Regardless of the type of these insects, dogs are usually the best profile to settle on the skin and absorb blood without causing pain or itching.

Benefits of Front Lien Plus Flea and Tick Treatment for Dogs

There are many anthelmintic remedies on the market to treat and prevent the spread of fleas and ticks. However, keep in mind that fleas are insects and mites are mites. Because of this, some effective flea products do not work against ticks and vice versa. This should be taken into account when choosing treatment or prevention, and products that have this dual activity or that contain a combination of pesticides and acaricides should be selected. Frontline Plus is the best medicine to treat both Flee and ticks.

frontline plus for dogs is a flea and tick control product that kills all stages, including deer ticks that carry debilitating Lyme disease. frontline plus for small dogs also kills flea eggs and larvae, effectively ending the flea breeding cycle. Approximately 18 hours after application, all dog and cat fleas will die. In the case of mites, it takes a little longer, about 2 days. The drug must be applied to the back of the animal’s neck by a special applicator. This is to prevent animals from licking the drug. After applying frontline flea, wash your hands thoroughly and avoid touching animals for a day.

frontline plus for dogs contain the following active ingredients:

  • Fipronil

frontline plus small dogs contain fipronil, which is effective against both fleas and mites, making it one of the best ingredients for the treatment and prevention of fleas and ticks. Fipronil causes excitement and convulsions in fleas and ticks, leading to death by altering the nervous system. It has excellent insecticidal and acaricidal activity against fleas and ticks. They die within 24 and 48 hours, respectively, after contact with fipronil.

  • Methoprene

Another active ingredient in frontline plus for small dogs is methoprene. Methoprene is an insect growth regulator or IGR. This ingredient works by altering flea eggs and larvae, not adults. IGR acts as a flea growth hormone, a substance that allows fleas to grow into adults. Metropen destroys normal levels of growth hormone, which slows the growth of juvenile fleas. Since it does not go through the molting stage, it will lead to death. frontline flea contains methoprene to stop the cycle of minors and fipronil to stop adults.

Precautions

Be careful when using frontline plus small dogs, as fipronil and methoprene are very powerful insecticides. Always keep the applicator away from your face, especially your eyes, and wash your hands thoroughly after applying the drug. Attention should be paid to signs of an allergic reaction in cats or dogs receiving Frontline Plus. Some animals are sensitive or allergic to ingredients, which means they can be affected by active and non-active ingredients. If the animal shows signs of itching, agitation, vomiting, lethargy, or difficulty, take it to a veterinarian immediately.
